123ATEX.eu ® is the leading specialist in ATEX legislation in the Netherlands. Our experts provide companies with strategic advice on applying laws and regulations. We also advise (semi-)governmental bodies on safety matters. Our goal? To improve safety and prevent incidents. We offer risk management, compliance, training, and innovative safety concepts.

We are an ambitious, rapidly evolving organisation. Our team currently consists of 20+ employees, and we are growing fast. Due to a significant increase in demand for ATEX training, we are expanding our team with an experienced ATEX Trainer.

Our entire training programme is European-certified, enabling us to train individuals for ATEX Personnel Certification. This is a personal certification scheme comparable to IECEx 05, but fully focused on ATEX. We are proud of our partnership with ExNB/EXAM, a renowned institute for audits and certification.

What will you do?

As an ATEX Trainer, you will ensure that our clients —from engineers to managers— understand the latest laws and regulations and can apply them safely. In practice, this means you will:

Deliver training sessions within the (petro)chemical industry and other sectors where ATEX applies.
Keep training materials up to date and supplement them with practical examples.
Answer students’ questions and guide them in the application of ATEX directives.
Contribute to new training concepts and improvements to our curriculum. We highly value initiative and professional development.
Establish and further develop client relationships.

Your working area covers the entire Netherlands and the Flemish region of Belgium, where you will deliver training sessions independently and at your own discretion.

Who are we looking for?

You have a practical mindset, work well independently, are highly organised, and have a passion for lifelong learning. Additionally, you possess:

A completed vocational or higher professional qualification (MBO-4/HBO) in Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics.
At least 5 years of experience with (ATEX) inspections within the (petro)chemical industry (preferred).
At least 5 years of experience in delivering ATEX training (preferred).
Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English, with the ability to explain complex subject matter in an engaging and understandable way.
Independent trainers/freelancers are also very welcome to apply.

A competitive salary, ranging from €4.500 – €7.000 per month based on a 40-hour week, depending on experience.
